What we collect
When you create an account:
- Email address — used to identify your account and for login.
- Password — stored as a one-way cryptographic hash (PBKDF2, 100,000 rounds). We cannot recover your original password.
- Saved texts — Japanese text you choose to save. Stored so you can access it across sessions.
Automatically:
- Auth cookie — an HttpOnly session token, expires after 7 days. No tracking, no advertising.
- Theme and font preferences — stored in your browser's local storage and in your account record.
What we don't collect
- No analytics or usage tracking.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No IP logging beyond what Cloudflare's infrastructure handles at the network level.
- No sharing or selling of data to third parties.
Where data is stored
All account data and saved texts are stored in Cloudflare D1 (edge SQLite) on Cloudflare's global network. Yomikit has no separate database server.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all saved texts and your account record are removed.
